Nils wrote a series of 3 Instructional books.

The main subject is improvisation. Alltough it covers the basics like scales and arpeggios, the main emphasis of the books are to learn how to get your musical ideas across and communicate to the ausdience through your playing.

My main guitar is a 1986 Valley Arts Custom Ser# 159. It has some custom EMG electronics which allow for an incredible range of sound, from Gibson Hollowbody to funky Strat and to Power Rock and Blues tones. It is shaped like a Strat, and has a Kahler tremolo system with a Floyd Rose Nut ( go figure). The neck is made of maple with an ebony fretboard and an alder body.

I use Jim Dunlop Jazz III picks and my favorite wha is the Crybaby 535.

My main guitar amp is a Bogner Ecstasy and I sue a variety of Cabinets. I prefer Celestion Vintage 30 speakers.

My Favorite Accoustic guitar is my Talyor K-20Mmade from Koa Wood with a Mahagony top.

on my live shows I like to use two Fender Twin Amps. I can never find the Bogners as rentals and The Fenders have a nice warm Tone. I use either my pedal board or lately my TC Electronic NOVA System.
